Red lights, red faces: Cameras nab cops

Red lights, red faces: Cameras nab cops: "The tape tells the story. A car makes an illegal left-hand turn at a busy intersection while bolting through a red light. Another car cruises past a red light between two large trucks, bringing surrounding traffic to a cautious halt.

Yet more instances of average citizens blowing through a red light? Nope, not this time.

Fourteen Minneapolis police squad cars, an animal control vehicle and a Fire Department vehicle were among the 4,400 vehicles caught on tape running a red light during the 30-day testing period of the 'Stop on Red' program.
